3. SET UNIT # TO 17-if it's already on #17, change it to #16 and then return it to #17.
4. Press "Send V"
5. Select NEW SOUND BANK #1 or #2. (EACH ONE CONTAINS 64 NEW SOUNDS) 6. MT32's Midi Message light will flash as new voices load into RAM memory.
7. Press "Send T".
8. Select BASIC 64 TIMB PARAMS.
9. MT32's Midi Message light will flash as new timbres load into RAM memory.
10. Connect midi out of midi keyboard controller to midi in of MT32.
11. Use program change messages from your keyboard controller to call up the new 64 sounds you have just loaded. To call them up for part #1 on the MT32, set your controller to midi channel #2; for part #2, midi channel#3, etc. You can still use the 128 ROM sounds the same way as before by using the select/volume knob on the MT32's front panel. THE SELECT/VOLUME KNOB WILL NOT CALL UP THE 64 RAM SOUNDS.
DUE TO THE MT32'S RATHER DELICATE RECEIVE CAPABILITIES, YOU MAY SOMETIMES HAVE TO REPEAT THE ABOVE PROCEDURE TO COMPLETELY LOAD ALL 64 TONES AND 64 TIMBRES.
